When to hold a store release after a readiness check

Signals that justify missing a marketing date rather than shipping a build that will burn ratings.

Marketing calendars are real constraints. So are one-star reviews that linger for months after a rushed cut. A readiness check exists to make that trade-off explicit.

We recommend a hold when a primary journey fails on the agreed mid-range device, when crash clusters hit authentication or checkout, or when cold start exceeds the budget you published to stakeholders before the campaign.

A ship-with-known-issues note is appropriate when the defect sits on a rarely used screen, has a clear workaround, and support is briefed. Document the follow-up build date in the same note so the debt does not vanish.

In Thailand, festival and payday traffic can amplify small regressions. If your launch sits beside a peak shopping window, treat hold criteria more strictly than you would for a quiet Tuesday release.
